Just a quick post to assure those that have wondered that I'm indeed not dead, but really very much alive and finally not too busy for anything anymore, because I quit my job at the hellhole that calls itself Admiral Sports Bets.
Two years of getting shouted at, spit at and things being thrown at me by morons that generally are about as smart as a toilet bowl (some even less) are finally over and finished with.
I really really enjoy my new freedom and the only thing I miss are my awesome co-workers who made the job at least bearable.
So, in short, I'll be around more again and even make a post here and there if something noteworthy happens. |

subject: Still alive

Just realised that I haven't updated in ages, so therefore I'm correcting that right now.
My vacation was...exciting and wet probably describes it best. My boyfriend has nada null zero sense of direction and sometimes even forgets the difference between left and right, therefore we drove about an extra hundred kilometers.
Originally we planned to stay in Bolzano for a few days, but we were unable to find the hotel my sister recommended, so we spend the first night in Merano in a lovely little hotel.
The second day we got up early and continued driving until we eventually reached Lake Garda and found a nice camping ground where we discovered that the new tent we packed was way too small, but just barely big enough for the two of us to sleep in.
We did some sightseeing and later I got spectacularly drunk (after just one and a half bottles of wine and god knows what else) and remember next to nothing about that night, but boyfriend claims that he had to carry me back to our tent, where I tried to jump him and was asleep and snoring loudly the next second.
The third day I woke up with the hangover from hell, went on a frantic search for Aspirin and wanted nothing more than to spend the day sleeping, but boyfriend kept nagging me about going to Gardaland (Italy's largest amusement park or so they claim) until I gave in. I had fun, at least once I didn't feel like puking my guts out anymore. Boyfriend even convinced me to go rollercoaster riding with him. I immediately regretted it though. I was screaming and praying to every deity I ever heard of that the ride would be over soon and he had the nerve to say that it was lame and shout "faster". I think I may have kicked him afterward.
The next few days were rather uneventful, just more sightseeing, visiting the zoo and eating yummy things.
Then it started raining and by raining I mean heaven poured out enough water for a repeat performance of Noah's flood. That's when we discovered that our tent was only semi-waterproof. We woke up that night because water was steadily dripping down on us and after spending a miserable night in a car that's just not build for two grown adults to sleep in, we were on our way home as fast as the tempo limit would allow.
We managed the way back in record time and were enthusiastically greeted by two purring felines who were really really glad that their can-openers had finally returned.
I really wanted to post all this much much sooner, but I got hooked on World of Warcraft recently and am hopelessly addicted now.
So are there any other WoW addicts on my friends list? |

subject: Vacation, finally!

As boyfriend and I couldn't agree on option a) Greece (his choice) or option b) Egypt (my choice) despite arguing for month we've decided to go for option c) which is to head into the approximate direction of Italy and drive until we find someplace nice to stay. I've got saddled with map-duty so we could also be ending up in France or Switzerland, depending on his ability to translate my hand waving and shouting into actual directions.
Somehow I've managed to get all my stuff into a single giant backpack and the bastard my lovely boyfriend also blackmailed me into convinced me to leave the laptop at home, but only because he threatened to throw me out at the first gas station if he even sees it anywhere near the car. Can you see why I love him so much? Because I do and have for nearly six years now, but sometimes I also just want to hit him with something heavy and metallic, but only non fatally, because life without him would really totally suck very much.
So this means I'll be offline for at least a week and probably dieing of computer deprivation if I can't manage to find an internet-cafe, which is highly unlikely but could happen if he somehow manages to sweet talk me into going on a hiking tour with him. He even bought me hiking boots, which I was ordered to pack so I see mountain shaped doom in my immediate future.
Well, if I'm not back in a week I've probably fallen off something narrow and rocky and it will all be his fault and I'll be coming back as a ghost to constantly haunt him for the rest of his miserable existence. Okay, I really hope that there's internet in the afterlife, because an eternity without would also really really suck.
Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful uneventful week, while I'm best case scenario: getting a nice tan and consuming large quantities of excellent Italian wine and pasta or worst case scenario: doing involuntary cliff diving with a really rocky landing. |

I think I'm either going to puke or pass out any moment now, and it's my own damn fault.
Note to self: Never ever forget again to always take something edible and sugary, preferablly something with a high chocolate content with you.

Things to do tomorrow (or rather today because it's nearly 3 am)
1) Get lazy ass out of bed earlier then 10 am for a change
2) Consume large amounts of coffee to switch from grumpy, sleepy bitch mode into semi-polite, civilized human being mode
3) Get dressed and drive to shopping mall
4) Buy new laptop, because the outdated, piece of shit computer I use at the moment is no longer tolerable. Just two words: Win98 and a 10gig harddrive
5) While there, buy new harddrive for other computer, because the old one crashed and is broken beyond repair. Also next time immediately do something when any harddrive starts making funny noises, instead of waiting until it's too late and relying on month old back-ups.
6) Also don't forget to investigate into buying an iPod nano. Bah, what has Apple done to me? My iPod mini is kaputt and it's like the world has ended and I'm going to die of iPod deprivation or something.
7) Drive back, set up new laptop
7 a) Don't forget to make a stop at the pharmacy on the way back, because running out of aspirin and anxiety medication is so not funny.
8) Call various places for evening classes and university options
9) Visit best friend and bake yummy chocolate-banana-pudding-cake with her
10) Eat cake and get very, very drunk, get best friend completely shit-faced too
11) Fall into bed and don't forget to set the alarm
Sounds like a lovely day doesn't it? Well, at least my next post will hopefully be from a shiny new laptop. |

I didn't actually kill anyone at work today, but only because I was surrounded by cameras and video footage counts as evidence in court.
Instead I spend half of my evening daydreaming about throwing our very large HP-printer at the morons in front of me. Unfortunately I can't lift it on my own.
The majority of my customers today were impatient morons who combined barely had the IQ of a streetlight. I mean how hard is it to remember 2 numbers for 3 seconds? Apparently very, because when it's their turn to bet on the nice little doggies or horsies they suddenly turn into fish and stand there gaping and staring at the screen, or thin air, or my boobs.
Or to know what day it is? No Sir, you can't bet on all these games you've spent the last hour or so writing down, because guess what? Today's Monday and all your games where when? Is that a light bulb above your head? Yes, today is not Sunday, yesterday was. No, I can't take your bets anyway. Why? You ask. Because fortunately our software is moron proof and doesn't allow me to type in anything that has already started. Have a nice day and please fall down the stairs and die on your way out.

You remember the post where I said I haven't watched a single episode of Stargate Atlantis?
Well, that's no longer true.
I now own Season one and most of Season two on DVD, have read an ungodly amount of SGA fic and I think I may have given my poor boyfriend a major case of SGA love, because he doesn't even complain any more when I re-watch the Siege for the x-thiest time. So yes, I definitely have a new fandom and I blame it all on ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=92.1) tiranog.
